Compatability Testing

Testing whether software is compatible with other elements of a system with which it should operate, e.g. browsers, Operating Systems, or hardware.

Breadth Testing

A test suite that exercises the full functionality of a product but does not test features in detail

Parallel Testing

In general, parallel testing involves testing multiple products or subcomponents simultaneously. A parallel test station typically shares a set of test equipment across multiple test sockets, but, in some cases, it may have a separate set of hardware for each unit under test (UUT).

Control Testing

Usage: Control is a management tool to ensure that processing is performed in accordance with what management desires or intends.

Objective:
Accurate and complete data.
Authorized transactions.
Maintenance of adequate audit trail of information.
Efficient, effective and economical process.
Process meeting the needs of the user.

Test Summary Report

A test summary report is a testing work product that formally summarizes the results of all testing on an endeavor.

The typical objectives of a test summary report are to:

v Summarize all of the testing that was performed since the previous test summary report.
v Enable project management and the customer to know the status of project testing.

Error handling Testing

Error handling refers to the anticipation, detection, and resolution of programming, application, and communications errors. Specialized programs, called error handlers, are available for some applications. The best programs of this type forestall errors if possible, recover from them when they occur without terminating the application,

Locale

Locale is a set of parameters that defines the user's language, country and any special variant preferences that the user wants to see in their user interface. Usually a locale identifier consists of at least a language identifier and a region identifier.
